Strategic Pricing Manager – Paladin Construction Group (Dexter, MI)
This role will support development and implementation of the strategies and processes to improve the company’s competitiveness via maximum price / value relationships, lowest total costs, improve product margins, drive effective responses on strategic bids, and ensure high quality and competitive proposals. The position requires a blend of in depth price / cost data analysis, financial analysis skills / experience, strategic marketing support, cross-functional process coordination and continuous improvement in pricing process, policies & structure. The goal will be to maximize sales and margin while maintaining positive customer price perception.
Candidates for this position will need to have a Bachelor’s degree in Business or related discipline and a minimum of 5 years experience managing strategic pricing. A demonstrated track record of implementing performance improvements and achieving results targets is essential. Other minimum qualifications include exceptional communication and time management, prioritization and organizational skills as this position will manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment. Manufacturing Engineer- Paladin Construction Group (Dexter, MI)
Duties: Supports manufacturing efforts at Paladin facilities. Assist with the development of and implementation of manufacturing processes in order to maintain proper product functionality as well as cost efficiency. Assist in new project and process implementation; suggest and implement new equipment, capital projects, tooling, and fixturing to produce the product; develop and maintain process control data for others to use; develop required process information, develop preventive maintenance schedules for production machinery; and conduct continuous improvements for manufacturing. Expected to: develop and maintain all routing, process, and work center standards; work with QA to develop and document processes, procedures, and work instructions; ensure that all manufacturing processes are capable of producing products conforming to acceptable safety standards; utilize the Product Control Change procedure to improve production process; help select and design choice of physical location and installation of in-plant equipment; establish, document, and implement preventive maintenance and safety procedures; formulate teaching outlines for identified jobs and required training, and create/provide training aids, materials, workstation references, written procedures, work instructions, and check-lists for employee's use on the job. For quality issues, establish consistency of application of all corporate standards for product and process quality, establish tools and systems to facilitate quality standards, and to work with the site quality representatives to ensure quality standards are followed and then audit the sites for results. This includes serving as the designated representative for ISO 9001 registration and maintenance of the Paladin Quality Manual, and lead effort for customer specific quality requirements and/or systems and implementation of ISO 14001.
Education: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, or Industrial Engineering or Engineering Technology or related field (or foreign equivalent).
Experience: Six (6) years of experience required in the job offered or related occupations.
Other Requirements: Two (2) years of experience with manufacturing process improvement projects; One (1) year of experience with LEAN principles and practices and established manufacturing procedures; One (1) year of experience with manufacturing engineering problem-solving tools (i.e. A3, fishbone diagram, etc) and data analysis; Advanced understanding of ISO quality program requirements; Six Sigma certification of Green Belt or higher; Advanced knowledge of MRP/ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite. Fulfillment of special requirements may occur through work or educational/training experiences.
*Work experience must be post-baccalaureate and progressive in nature. In the alternative to a Bachelor's degree and six (6) years of experience in the job offered or related position, employer will also accept candidates with a Master's degree in same field with one (1) year of employment experience in the job offered or related position.
